Product Engineer | London | Hybrid | Tech4Good
Location: London (hybrid, minimum 2 days in the office)
Salary: £90,000-£120,000 + equity + benefits

Some engineering roles are about shipping features. This one is about shaping the future of a business.
We're working with a well-funded Tech4Good company that's using technology to tackle one of the world's biggest environmental challenges. They're now looking for a Product Engineer to take ownership of a critical part of the platform as they enter their next phase of growth.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days picking up tickets from a backlog. You'll work from first principles to understand real customer problems, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and build products that directly influence how the company scales over the coming years.
You'll own problems from discovery through to production, balancing technical excellence with pragmatism and product thinking.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning a core product domain from end to end.
- Working closely with Product, Design and stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities and solve meaningful problems.
- Building scalable backend services and intuitive user-facing features.
- Designing APIs, data models and systems that stand the test of time.
- Making technical decisions that balance customer value, engineering quality and delivery speed.
- Influencing engineering standards and helping shape the technical direction of the platform.

The tech stack is centred around Python, React and AWS, but they're much more interested in exceptional product engineers than perfect keyword matches. If you've built great products in another modern backend language and are happy picking up Python, they'd love to speak with you.
