Product Engineer
We are looking for a Product Engineer to join a growing Engineering team.
Our Engineering team plays a vital role in helping the business achieve its goals. Reporting to our Head of Engineering, you'll be involved in building and evolving marketable technology products that support our long-term vision. You'll work alongside senior engineers, Product and Design to deliver high-quality features, growing your skills and experience with their support.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of well-defined features and bug fixes, working with support from senior engineers on more complex or ambiguous problems.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code that reflects our engineering principles, balancing simplicity, performance, and scalability.
- Work with Product and Design to understand requirements and raise questions or concerns as they arise.
- Ensure your work is thoroughly reviewed and tested and take part in peer code review across the team.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and upcoming work clearly to your immediate team.
- Provide technical support to operational and client-facing teams when needed, escalating to senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Support teammates by unblocking others, pairing when needed, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- Stay curious about emerging technologies, tools, and best practices, sharing ideas with the team.

Our team works with a modern and evolving tech stack to support the changing needs of the business. We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in some of the following, and a willingness to learn the rest with support from the team.

Essential:
- C# and .NET Core
- React and TypeScript

- Ionic (mobile)
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Microsoft Azure, including Container Apps, Azure AD B2C, Blob Storage, Bicep, Application Insights, and Service Bus / Key Vault
- Azure DevOps
- Docker
- GitHub
Architecture & Practice
Exposure to the following is expected, with a willingness to build deeper expertise over time:
- Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and Clean Architecture
- Automated testing and quality assurance practices
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Agile practices, such as Scrum and Kanban
Skills & Experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in full-stack software development (front-end and back-end).
- Some experience with, or exposure to, SaaS products and associated architectures.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile environments (e.g. Scrum or Kanban).
- Ability to solve problems using design patterns and established development practices, with support on more complex challenges.
- Exposure to modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment.
- Some exposure to cloud engineering, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
