Product Engineer (Backend) | London | AI Startup

Our client, one of Europe's fastest-growing AI startups is looking for a talented Product Engineer (Backend) to help build the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI productivity tools.

Already trusted by some of the world's most innovative technology companies, they are now scaling rapidly following significant investment and are looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical challenges at scale.

What you'll be doing

You will play a key role in building and scaling the backend platform that powers an AI-native product used by thousands of professionals every day.

You'll work on:

  • Designing and building high-performance APIs and backend services
  • Scaling cloud infrastructure to support rapid user growth
  • Building infrastructure that enables cutting-edge AI capabilities
  • Optimising PostgreSQL databases and improving query performance
  • Improving system reliability, monitoring and observability
  • Working closely with Product, Design and AI Engineering teams to deliver new features end-to-end
  • Solving complex engineering challenges in a fast-moving, product-led environment

  • Working within product-focused engineering teams
