About Infact

We are leading innovation in the UK credit data market as the first real-time credit bureau. We are a scale-up on a mission to power better lending with accurate, real-time credit information and analytics through modern, API-first solutions. All this directly impacts the ability for consumers to access financial services at scale.

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Engineer early in their career to build the Go services that our lender partners depend on every day.

This is a Go role first and foremost. You'll spend most of your time writing, testing, and operating the Go microservices behind our B2B APIs on AWS, and you'll grow into the wider stack from there.

Reporting to the CTO, you'll join a small, collaborative, and highly productive engineering team. You'll be paired with and mentored by senior engineers, but you'll own real features end to end from day one. We hire for trajectory as much as experience, so the scope of the role will grow with what you bring and what you learn.

We're looking for a product mindset, not just an implementation one. We want engineers who ask who the change is for, what problem it solves, and whether the design holds up in production before writing the code.

We set a high bar for code quality, design taste, and delivery, and we make deliberate, responsible use of modern AI tooling. We view AI as an enabling assistant that supports, never replaces, engineering judgement, review, and accountability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Build, test, and ship features in our Go API services, with support and code review from senior engineers.
  • Take real ownership of the features you deliver, from design discussion through to production behaviour and the customer outcome.
  • Work with our AWS infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines, and learn to operate what you build.
  • Contribute to code review, design discussions, and technical decisions. We expect you to have a view, and to change it when the evidence says so.
  • Make deliberate, effective use of AI tooling to raise both the quality and the pace of your work, with a clear understanding of where it helps and where it doesn't.

What We're Looking For

  • Some commercial software engineering experience, or equivalent evidence that you can build and ship real software. Roughly one to three years is the range we have in mind, but we care more about capability than time served.
  • Go at the heart of your skill set. Either you've worked in Go commercially, or you've built substantial projects in it and can talk fluently about how and why.
  • Product instinct. You think about the user of the API or the interface, not just the ticket, and you push back when something doesn't make sense.
  • Fluent, deliberate use of AI tools such as Claude in your development workflow. You use them to move faster while staying fully accountable for the code you ship, and you can explain every line of it.
  • Familiarity with AWS, containers, and CI/CD. We use Fargate, Lambda, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, and GitHub Actions. You don't need all of it on day one, but you should be keen to learn it properly.
  • A passion for problem-solving, constructive feedback, and continuous learning, with a strong bias to action.
  • An interest in fintech, credit, or other regulated industries. Direct experience is a plus, not a requirement.
