About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Technical Leader to spearhead our product engineering efforts. This role involves leading the development of our next-generation AI-native product that pushes the boundaries of physical lab automation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical background, with extensive experience architecting complex products and leading high-performing engineering teams. You will operate as the primary architect and strategic partner, translating company vision into high-quality, scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include building and mentoring a talented product engineering team, establishing best practices, and embedding automation-first and AI-native methodologies to enhance productivity and product delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of lab automation technology while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values ownership, impact, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • More than 15 years of experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record of building complex products
  • At least 10 years of experience leading product development teams in high-tech environments
  • Experience managing multiple senior and staff engineers, fostering high-performance teams
  • Deep understanding of AI and automation technologies and their application in product development
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-scaling, high-quality environments such as scale-ups or enterprise transformations
  • Strong architectural skills with a focus on scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development practices and tools

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product engineering, translating strategic objectives into high-quality deliverables
  • Serve as the primary architect and technical authority for product development initiatives
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product engineering team, setting high standards for execution and quality
  • Develop and continuously improve scalable operating systems, eliminating bottlenecks and increasing team velocity
  • Embed AI-native and automation-first methodologies to drive productivity and innovation
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data & AI, Customer Success, and Sales teams to align on roadmap and challenges
  • Ensure timely delivery of features and products that meet quality standards and customer expectations
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the engineering team
  • Maintain technical discipline and best practices across all development activities
