At Allstate

At Allstate, great things happen when our people work together to protect families and their belongings from life’s uncertainties. And for more than 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers’ evolving needs. From advocating for seat belts, airbags, and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.

Your role in the team

Core Engineering & Platforms (CEP) group is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead Product Engineer for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to drive the development and adoption of enterprise-scale infrastructure automation capabilities. This role is responsible for designing, building, and productizing reusable infrastructure solutions that enable engineering teams to provision, manage, and operate infrastructure through code. The ideal candidate may have successfully launched large-scale IaC initiatives and can translate strategic objectives into practical, scalable engineering solutions.

As a technical acumen and practitioner, the candidate will:

  • Establish engineering standards
  • Build reusable modules and automation frameworks
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Drive self-service infrastructure capabilities across the organization

Also, the candidate will collaborate closely with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to transform infrastructure delivery from manual processes into a resilient, automated, and software-defined operating model.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the enterprise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation solutions across omni-hosted platforms.
  • Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities for infrastructure teams.
  • Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or related infrastructure automation technologies.
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design practices to improve delivery speed, consistency, and automation quality.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, security controls, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation platforms.
  • Design and develop APIs and integrations that enable infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.
  • Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.
  • Partner with platform product teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities.
  • Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs for IaC tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
  • Leverage cross-domain infrastructure knowledge spanning compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infra services to deliver curated consumer-facing platform products and improve operational resilience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
