Role Description
The Product Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and refine products that power Orkestro’s delivery infrastructure. Day-to-day activities include translating business and user needs into technical solutions, collaborating on product specifications, and implementing features that improve reliability, scalability, and customer experience. The role involves analyzing data and user feedback to inform product decisions, participating in research and development initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering and product processes.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Greater London, with flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Product Engineer will be expected to participate in on-site collaboration sessions as needed and maintain clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in product engineering, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable systems.
- Ability to collaborate on product design, translating user and business requirements into clear product specifications.
- Experience in research and development (R&D), including experimentation, prototyping, and iterative improvement.
- Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical partners.
- Experience with modern software development practices (e.g., agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, CI/CD).
- Familiarity with backend or full-stack engineering in a product-focused environment; experience in logistics, marketplaces, or fintech is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and take ownership of product outcomes.
