ABOUT FSCOM

fscom Compliance Maturity Specialists™ is a compliance advisory firm accredited by Great Place to Work (GPTW) and Diversity Mark. We work with firms in the asset management, capital markets, digital assets, and payments sectors across the UK and Europe. We help them benchmark their compliance against regulation and their peers, so they know where they stand. Then we help them get to where they want to be.

Over the last 15 years, we have built a reputation for high-quality, commercially focused advice. As a result, we are widely recognised as a leading compliance advisory firm for the financial services sector. Following our strategic partnership with Bridgepoint in 2022, we are on an accelerated growth path: scaling our advisory capabilities, expanding our service lines, and investing in technology-enabled delivery.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of our investment in technology-enabled delivery, we are growing a new team led by our Head of AI and Technology. The role carries more knowledge, accountability, and ownership than a traditional product or engineering role: you own outcomes, not just requirements or code.

You will play a pivotal part in bringing fscom's products to clients, in line with our go-to-market strategy and product-focused operating model.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Adopt AI-first requirements documentation, data analysis, and idea-to-prototype development, using our Claude-based MCP workflow to move from requirements to prototype to shipped production code.
  • Go beyond static specifications where useful, building clickable or functional prototypes with AI-assisted development to validate ideas with users and engineers before committing to a full build.
  • Use AI-native development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Replit, or equivalent to accelerate software delivery.
  • Build reusable AI components, patterns, and engineering practices that can be used across fscom's products.
  • Experiment rapidly with new AI capabilities and turn successful experiments into robust, maintainable production solutions.
  • Work with product and business stakeholders to translate problems into practical technical solutions ensuring viable commercial return.
  • Contribute to technical architecture, engineering standards, CI/CD, and production operations.
  • Stay current with rapidly evolving AI technologies and identify opportunities that could create meaningful customer or business value.
  • Create feedback loops across teams and help colleagues build product-centric thinking and a focus on quality. Build strong working relationships with our expert consultants so that products reflect both client and consultant needs.
  • Track and report regularly on objectives and key results (OKRs), making sure product performance supports wider business goals.
  • Take part in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, Labs sessions, and internal show-and-tells.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a hands-on builder who has taken product ideas to live production value and owned the results. You will be as comfortable writing requirements and talking to users as you are shipping code, and AI tools are already part of how you work every day.

Essential

  • 2+ years' experience in AI-first software engineering within agile processes and Jira-supported Product Engineering workflows
  • Experience with AI-driven agentic engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Replit, GitHub Copilot) including deployment to cloud services such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Strong OOP skills (Java, Python, or C#). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Hands-on full-stack development skills, with the ability to build and ship working software using modern web frameworks, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including architecture, testing, security, version control, code quality, and maintainability.
  • Strong requirements skills, including PRDs, user stories, personas, journey maps.
  • Comfortable working directly with users and stakeholders, understanding how product experience feedback helps drive what outcomes we build to deliver on next.

Desirable

  • Experience in financial services, RegTech, or another regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance or regulatory topics, such as anti-money laundering (AML), Consumer Duty, or safeguarding, or a genuine interest in learning them.

  • Awareness of AI governance and data protection requirements, such as the EU AI Act and UK GDPR.
  • Experience helping to build a new team or product in a start-up, scale-up, or innovation setting.

Attributes

  • Culture: a collaborative, expert-led, and values-driven environment. We are Great Place to Work accredited and hold Diversity Mark Silver.
