The role
This company is building the AI clinical operating system for a major national healthcare system, already deployed in hundreds of clinics and serving millions of patients. They've resolved over 5 million patient cases in the last year, saving thousands of lives. With significant ARR and cash-flow positive, they recently turned down a large pre-emptive funding round, backed by leading investors, to maintain focus on their mission.
This is an AI-native product engineering role, not a traditional one. You'll spend less time on boilerplate and more time with clinicians, decomposing real workflow problems, and designing the interfaces between humans and swarms of agents. You'll own projects end-to-end within a tight, high-shipping team, building agent-friendly codebases where every feature compounds and directly saves lives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The work
- Decompose complex clinical workflows into agent-orchestrated solutions.
- Design and build human-agent interfaces, ensuring safety and efficiency within a critical healthcare context.
- Own end-to-end feature development across a modern serverless stack (TypeScript, React/Angular, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync).
- Contribute to agent-friendly codebases, leveraging custom tooling for autonomous system convergence and minimal human review.
- Ship features directly impacting millions of patients and generating structured clinical data for system improvement.
What You Bring
- Expert-level TypeScript and the JS/Node ecosystem, with full-stack experience across React/Angular and serverless back-ends.
- Proven track record architecting and shipping production systems on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudFormation) or a demonstrated ability to rapidly master serverless infrastructure.
- Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, first-principles thinking) and an obsession with user experience over arbitrary technical goals.
- At least 5 years of total engineering experience, with a top-tier academic record or equivalent intelligence spike (e.g., significant exit, exceptional shipping velocity, rare technical achievement).
- A deep commitment to building mission-critical software that saves lives, not just a focus on compensation.
