Our Reverse Vending division TOMRA Collection is now entering a major growth phase in the UK ahead of the planned Deposit Return Scheme launch in October 2027.
This is a unique opportunity to join our UK organisation as we scale and help build the teams that will support the next generation of recycling infrastructure.
Job Description
We’re looking for an engineer who is curious, collaborative, and motivated by making a real impact. This is a greenfield opportunity within a global organisation, where you’ll join a growing and supportive team helping shape how our technology is used in the UK market.
In this role, you’ll become a local technical expert for TOMRA’s Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs), working closely with customers, technicians, system users, and colleagues across Europe. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our solutions perform at their best—while contributing knowledge, ideas, and improvements as the organisation continues to grow.
You’ll also act as an important link between TOMRA Collection UK and our global teams, working closely with colleagues at our Norway head office and R&D hub to share insights, support developments, and help local teams succeed.
What you’ll be doing
As our Product Expert Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping TOMRA's technology perform at its best. Working closely with colleagues across Service, Product, and Operations, you'll combine technical expertise with data-driven insights to improve machine performance and support our growing customer base.

- Act as a technical specialist for our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and supporting systems
- Analyse machine and operational data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive performance improvements
- Partner with internal teams to provide technical guidance, product expertise, and configuration support
- Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges, collaborating with colleagues across functions and regions
- Deliver engaging training and knowledge-sharing sessions that help technicians and service teams succeed
- Support new machine installations and help ensure a smooth transition from deployment to operation
Qualifications

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

- Analytical mindset, with skills interpreting data and ability to identifying opportunities for improvement
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Experience contributing to product, system, or process improvements through collaboration and continuous improvement
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar) or equivalent practical experience
