ABOUT CASCADE
Cascade is an AI-native, end-to-end filmmaking platform, built by filmmakers, for filmmakers. In one seamless, web-based environment, creators can go from first idea through script, storyboard, character generation, scene assembly and final edit – without leaving the platform.
Our Open Beta is live, and we've moved from launch mode into growth – building a roster of creative partners and an audience of independent filmmakers and directors who are making the case for our platform.
The creator economy is $250 billion and growing at 22% a year. Over 50 million filmmakers and creators are drowning in fragmented tools and broken workflows. Cascade replaces the stack.
THE ROLE
Ship the product surface around the engines — the 80% of the app that turns powerful tech into a product people pay for.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer-facing workflows across project creation, content planning, asset management, generation, review and delivery.
- Account, organisation, team, permission, invitation and sharing experiences.
- Onboarding, product guidance and improvements that help new users reach value quickly.
- Usage, subscriptions, credits, checkout and billing-related product experiences.
- Collaboration features including comments, review, approval and feedback workflows.
- Internal administration and operational tools used by support, marketing and management.
- Product dashboards, settings, notifications and user-preference experiences.
- Practical integration of AI capabilities into clear and understandable user journeys.
- End-to-end feature delivery across user interface, APIs, data, permissions and testing.
- Production bug fixing, customer issue investigation and regression prevention.
- Documentation and support handover for completed product areas.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years full-stack product engineering
- At least 2+ years independently delivering production features across frontend, backend and data.
- Strong TypeScript and modern React-based frontend experience.
- Experience designing and implementing backend APIs and server-side application logic.
- Good relational-data and SQL fundamentals.
- Ability to deliver meaningful product features end to end rather than only contributing isolated components.
- Experience working with authentication, permissions and multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of loading, error, empty and recovery states in customer-facing applications.
- Good debugging skills across browser, API and data layers.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-structured code and tests.
- Sound judgement about when to move quickly and when production risk requires more caution.
- Clear communication, realistic estimation and dependable delivery habits.
- Willingness to work within established engineering patterns and review standards.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience building AI-enabled SaaS products.
- Experience with creative, media, collaboration or project-management software.
- Billing, subscriptions, usage metering or credit-based product experience.
- Real-time collaboration, notifications, commenting or approval workflows.
- Analytics and product-instrumentation experience.
- Strong visual and interaction judgement.
- Experience supporting public-beta or rapidly scaling customer-facing software.
- Experience working with customer support or investigating production defects.
