What You'll Be Doing

The Product Governance and Compliance Risk Manager ensures pension and protection products are effectively governed, compliant and aligned with customer outcomes, providing first-line assurance across the product lifecycle while managing product risks and third-party partnerships.

• Own and continuously improve the product governance framework, ensuring robust approval, change, monitoring and review processes across the full product lifecycle.
• Provide first-line compliance and regulatory expertise, particularly across DC pensions, Master Trust and FCA-regulated products, translating requirements into practical controls and processes.
• Identify, assess and manage product-related risks, including consumer, commercial, operational, regulatory and reputational risks, challenging where risks or poor customer outcomes are identified.
• Embed Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly principles, ensuring products deliver good customer outcomes, value for money and appropriate levels of customer understanding and service.
• Lead product oversight, monitoring and reporting, including regular product reviews, governance MI, dashboards, risk assessments and high-quality papers for governance forums and committees.
• Partner closely with Product, Risk, Compliance and Change teams, providing trusted advice, supporting audits and assurance activity, and horizon-scanning for regulatory developments.
• Oversee third-party governance and supplier arrangements, ensuring partners are appropriately approved, monitored and reviewed against regulatory expectations, internal risk appetite, value for money and customer outcomes.
