About the Role
Here at TouchNote, we're on a mission to help people nurture their most meaningful relationships, turning everyday moments into physical, personalised cards and gifts sent anywhere in the world.
Founded in London and operating globally, we pioneered the subscription card-sending model and have built a product that sits right at the intersection of technology and human connection. People genuinely love what we do, and the team behind it is equally impressive. We move fast, trust our people, and have very little time for ego or unnecessary process.
We're looking for an exceptional Product Lead to join us on a fixed-term maternity cover. We're at a pivotal stage of growth and need someone who can walk in, take ownership, and lead from day one.
This is a doer-leader role in a lean product team, meaning you'll roll up your sleeves across discovery, delivery and design, as well as set the strategic direction. With a global customer base, proven product-market fit, and a critical FY26 roadmap ahead, this is a startup-like environment within an established brand, offering both the stability of traction and the energy of a team that's still building.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning and updating the product roadmap with full transparency across the business.
- Running customer interviews, surveys and usability research to drive insight-led decisions.
- Monitoring product KPIs and acting fast when something shifts.
- Directly influencing key commercial metrics, including LTV, retention and repeat behaviour, across subscription, gifting and seasonal growth levers.
- Designing and analysing experiments to validate ideas before scaling them.
- Taking a hands-on role in UX/UI, shaping design direction and briefing external resource to a high standard.
- Leading planning sessions, standups, retrospectives and growth sprints.
- Line managing and developing a Product Manager and a Merchandising Executive, balancing strategic direction with people management.
- Supporting agile ways of working within the tech team, including refinement, backlog grooming and ticket scoping.
- Collaborating across every function, including tech, growth, finance, ops, data and CS, to refine and execute.
- Keeping documentation clean and organised so the whole team has visibility.
- Briefing and managing external design resource.
- Communicating product progress across the wider business at all levels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills & Experience Required
- 8–10+ years of end-to-end product management experience in a D2C or consumer-facing business.
- D2C experience is non-negotiable. You understand how to balance customer love with commercial performance.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how product decisions connect to revenue. You're as focused on business outcomes as you are on the customer experience.
- Comfortable working across both analytical and creative thinking. This role demands performance rigour and emotional storytelling in equal measure.
- Strong with data. You can self-serve on analytics, interpret A/B tests, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Comfortable leading customer research independently, including interviews, surveys and synthesis.
- A scrappy, hands-on mindset. You're not precious about your job title and you get things done.
- Highly organised but flexible, managing autonomy well without needing hand-holding.
- A natural collaborator who can bring stakeholders along without losing pace.
- Confident in line managing and developing others, even within a lean team structure.
