More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

As a Product Lead for Business Payments, you will be solving for how businesses prepare and send payments through Wise. Your objective is to make any kind of payment easy at any scale - with special focus on accounts payable and payroll. From getting payment data into Wise, to preparing and approving payments, to paying reliably and reconciling everything seamlessly in accounting software. This is a high-impact, multi-team leadership role across one of Wise Business's most important customer journeys.

What you will do:

  • Define the vision: Create and communicate a long-term strategy for multiple teams, making clear choices about where Wise should own the workflow, where we should integrate and which customer problems matter most.
  • Own measurable outcomes: Set the measures that show customers are succeeding - from setup effort and payment accuracy to on-time delivery, exception resolution and successful reconciliation - and hold teams accountable for moving them.
  • Shape exceptional UX at scale: Make complex financial operations feel simple for a small business while remaining fast, flexible and powerful for experienced finance teams.
  • Make strategic choices: Use customer insight, data, economics and technical judgement to validate opportunities before committing significant investment.
  • Lead through others: Coach and develop Product Managers, build healthy and ambitious teams, and raise the bar for product craft and delivery quality across the group.
  • Stay close to execution: Move between strategy and detail, stepping in where your judgement or hands-on contribution can unblock a critical initiative, improve quality or accelerate learning.
  • Work across Wise: Create alignment across product, engineering, design, analytics, operations, risk, compliance, finance and commercial partners around difficult trade-offs and shared outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strategic Depth: You have set and delivered a long-term product strategy across a complex domain, turning ambiguity into a clear point of view, explicit choices, sequenced bets and measurable results.
  • Product Management Excellence: You set a high bar for customer discovery, product craft, UX, prioritisation and execution—and raise it in others. You coach Product Managers to use research, data and economics to test assumptions, make sound decisions and stay accountable for impact, while being deeply connected to the underlying technology.
  • Business Payments or Payroll Expertise: Ideally, you bring strong experience in business payments, accounts payable, payroll, accounting workflows or adjacent B2B financial software. You understand – or can quickly master – the operational realities of high-volume, time-critical and regulated money movement.
  • Data and Commercial Judgement: You use customer insight, data, economics and technical judgement to size opportunities, define leading measures of success and make responsible investment choices. You are comfortable balancing speed, reliability, risk, customer experience and commercial outcomes in a regulated environment.
  • Hands-on Leadership and Influence: You move fluently between long-term strategy and product or system detail, stepping in to unblock critical work and challenge assumptions. You communicate clearly and create alignment across functions when priorities compete and trade-offs are difficult.
