The best retail experiences start long before a customer clicks 'buy'. They start with having the right products available, in the right place, at the right time.
We're looking for a Product Lifecycle Analyst to join our Central Merchandising team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Sitting at the centre of the business, you'll help shape how stock is managed across Argos, using insight and analysis to improve availability, optimise stock levels and support better decision-making.
Working closely with Trading, Digital, Supply Chain and Trade Planning teams, you'll play a key role in improving stock health, reducing working capital and ensuring products move through their lifecycle as efficiently as possible.
What you'll do
- Support the Product Lifecycle Manager in identifying opportunities to improve stock health, optimise inventory and drive the profitable exit of stock across our online and store channels.
- Use data and insight to help trading teams make better decisions, support the optimisation of our Clearance proposition, and work with stakeholders across the business to improve stock flow, event readiness and lifecycle management.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that simplify ways of working and deliver better stock outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
