Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To manage the implementation of strategic change initiatives to enhance the bank's operational efficiency.

Accountabilities

  • Management of Strategic Operational Changes: Includes identification and assessment of changes on people, processes, and systems.
  • Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: Works with business leaders, project managers, and SMEs to promote alignment between operations and the bank’s objectives.
  • Development and Implementation of Change Management Strategies: Ensures strategies are understood and adopted by stakeholders.
  • Management and Development of KPIs: Measures the effectiveness of business functions using data and technology to identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to change management.
  • Guidance and Support: Provides training and coaching to stakeholders throughout the operational change management process.

  • Prescribed Activities: Perform activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Leads and supervises a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.
  • Impact and Partnership:
    • For leaders: Demonstrates LEAD behaviors to create an environment for colleagues to thrive.
    • For individual contributors: Develops technical expertise and acts as an advisor.
  • Responsibility and Influence:
    • Takes responsibility for end results and operational processing.
    • Escalates breaches of policies/procedures and manages risk.
    • Advises and influences decision-making within the area of expertise.
  • Communication and Networking:
    • Communicates complex/sensitive information.
    • Acts as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function.

Join us within Barclays as a Product Management and Design Analyst, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of the Financial Crime Screening transformation agenda, with a focus on strengthening product strategy, design quality, governance, and delivery outcomes.

Required Experience

  • Experience with business analysis, change, transformation, or product support within a complex operational or regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in using Jira or similar workflow tools to manage and track work.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and priorities.
  • Proactive, organized, outcomes-focused, and comfortable working in evolving environments.

Highly Valued Skills

  • Exposure to financial crime, screening, compliance, or risk-based environments.
  • Understanding of product management concepts, including product vision, processes mapping, and backlog management.
  • Experience supporting governance, controls, or regulatory change.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Location

This role has the option to work from Glasgow or Bournemouth.
