The Product Management Performance Analyst role

The Product Management Performance Analyst role is part of the wider Product Management team and focused on assisting colleagues and improving their productivity with the timely supply of product performance and planning data so that they can better serve our customers effectively and efficiently. Our vision is for this role to act as a catalyst for positive change across the Product Management team and the wider business.

Working within the Pricing team and partnering with Product Management leaders within the business, you will be responsible for improving global performance levels of our team with data analysis tools, KPIs and reports to drive outstanding commercial activities.

This position reports to the Pricing Director and is part of the pricing team who support the Product Management organisation at Abcam. This is an on-site role located in Cambridge and an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment in a growing global business with a data driven mindset.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain and improve Microsoft PowerBi performance reporting suites for the Product Management teams
  • Support with the identification of relevant KPIs and measures which reflect the performance of the Product Management teams
  • Use reporting and analysis to identify areas to drive change, course corrections or further iterations in product strategies and provide ad hoc analytics support to the function on data analysis, reporting and performance.
  • Prepare and present data/insights to senior stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain and improve our data sources to allow faster, more automated reporting, working with our Data Engineering team who are owners of our main data sources.

  • Experience in a data analytical position, delivering data management, data analysis, insight and reporting solutions and an expert in PowerBi and DAX, with knowledge of Tableau or equivalent data visualisation software with a commitment to learn quickly
  • Performance management experience – ability to propose new KPIs based on gaps in performance, innovative and inquisitive and someone who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment with the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills - passionate about storytelling via data and a proactive self-starter who can pick things up quickly and run with projects autonomously
  • Output focused - motivated by achieving goals

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • SQL coding
  • Salesforce CRM
  • Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
