Type: Contractor

About the Opportunity
micro1 is engaging experienced Product & Engineering Experts to contribute to a customer project focused on improving the quality, clarity, and effectiveness of executive-level business presentations.
In this role, you will combine your product and engineering expertise with advanced PowerPoint, presentation design, data visualization, content editing, and visual storytelling skills. You will reconstruct product and engineering presentations from images while preserving factual accuracy, technical context, domain definitions, and important caveats.
Your work will help train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world product and engineering judgment. No prior AI experience is required — your domain expertise is what matters most.
Responsibilities
- Analyze images of product and engineering business slides, including roadmaps, architectural overviews, program updates, and technical presentations.
- Accurately reconstruct source slides using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Preserve technical accuracy, domain-specific definitions, critical caveats, and the original business intent.
- Improve slide clarity, structure, visual hierarchy, and overall executive communication.
- Apply effective data visualization and visual storytelling principles.
- Develop clear message hierarchies and evidence-supported slide titles.
- Edit and improve slide content, layouts, diagrams, charts, and supporting visuals while maintaining fidelity to the original context.
- Create a detailed change log for each slide explaining improvements made and decisions to preserve or reject specific elements.
- Defend both existing design choices and proposed improvements using clear, logical reasoning.
- Communicate technical concepts in plain language for audiences ranging from engineering leaders to senior executives.
- Ensure presentations effectively communicate complex product and engineering information to business stakeholders.
- Participate in project-based sprints, with individual assignments typically requiring 1–2 hours.

Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience in product management, engineering, engineering leadership, or technical program management.
- Deep understanding of product development and engineering environments.
- Proven experience creating or refining executive-level PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders or client audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of presentation design, content editing, and data visualization.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear executive-level communication.
- Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly explain message hierarchy, evidence-supported titles, visual selections, and content decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in product management, engineering leadership, or technical program management.
- Experience building presentations for executives, technical leaders, clients, or cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong experience with product roadmaps, engineering programs, technical architectures, and program updates.
- Experience reconstructing or redesigning existing presentation materials.
- Strong ability to evaluate whether visual and content choices accurately communicate technical information.
- Background as an industry practitioner or consultant with deep product or engineering expertise.
- Experience explaining complex engineering concepts to non-technical or executive audiences.
- Prior experience with AI model training, AI evaluation, or rubric development is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Engagement
- Compensation is $150–$350/hour.
- This is a remote contractor opportunity.
- Work is structured around individual PowerPoint review, reconstruction, and enhancement assignments.
- Each slide engagement is expected to require approximately 1–2 hours, depending on complexity.
- Projects operate through task-based, sprint-driven workflows with flexible timing.
- Experts are expected to provide both high-quality presentation work and detailed documentation explaining their decisions.
