Product Manager – Stone Fruit

Location: West Kent
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: Mon - Fri

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a range of stone fruit and kiwi products. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced fresh produce environment, managing product quality, stock rotation and performance from intake through to packing and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage stone fruit and kiwi quality from intake through to dispatch.
  • Make decisions on stock rotation, allocation and product suitability.
  • Monitor quality, maturity, shelf life and product condition.
  • Work closely with Quality Controllers, Production and Commercial teams.
  • Ensure products consistently meet customer and retailer specifications.
  • Identify quality issues early and minimise waste and product loss.
  • Provide clear feedback to growers, suppliers and customers.
  • Support investigations into complaints and non-conformances.
  • Help manage seasonal programmes, new varieties and product trials.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within fresh produce, ideally stone fruit or similarly perishable products.
  • Strong understanding of fruit quality, defects, maturity and shelf life.
  • Experience within a packing, growing, importing or retail-facing environment.
  • Confident making decisions around stock and product quality.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
