Strategic Product Manager – Pharmaceutical Raw Materials

Location: North of the UK (Territory: UK, Ireland & Nordics)
Compensation: Competitive + Company Car / Car Allowance + Bonus

About the Role

Are you a commercially minded procurement or raw materials specialist with a solid background in the pharmaceutical sector? A market-leading distributor is seeking a Strategic Product Manager to take ownership of a key pharmaceutical product portfolio across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic regions.

Sitting at the intersection of purchasing, supplier management, and commercial strategy, this role acts as the vital link between raw material suppliers and internal sales teams. You will drive product strategy, optimise inventory, negotiate key framework contracts, and help grow the portfolio across your region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate with, and build lasting relationships with key raw material suppliers, managing framework contracts and cost prices across your regional territory.
  • Execute product purchasing and market strategies to hit targeted gross profits, balancing customer-driven sourcing requests with proactive portfolio growth.
  • Gather, analyse, and communicate local market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain dynamics for strategic pharmaceutical products.
  • Partner closely with regional sales channels and make targeted customer visits to provide deep market insight and support commercial growth.
  • Ensure sustainable product availability, review purchasing options for non-exclusive supplier relationships, and maintain optimal stock levels.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
