Role Overview

The Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and launching products from concept through the product lifecycle, as well as the deployment of the Company’s Commercial strategy. Reporting to the Commercial Director for our Tube Business Unit, the Product Manager will have a strong technical and commercial background with a strategic focus, technical understanding, and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for pricing, proposals, and contract review of customer orders.
  • Primary point of contact for key account relationship management.
  • Identify new products and new market opportunities via the collation of market intelligence.
  • Customer problem resolution.
  • Product analytics including market share and competitive landscape.
  • Reporting and forecasting.
  • Establish and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and orders forecasts.
  • Identify, manage, and win avenues for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop strategic customer accounts and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Lead and conduct business with safety as a top priority.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial role, within a technically demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in key account relationship management.
  • Experience in the Metal Industry (Aerospace or Medical background preferred).
  • A strong understanding of material specifications and testing requirements.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and experience.
  • Track record of setting aggressive targets and meeting business goals.
  • Use of cost and profit as drivers for business decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with multifunctional matrix teams.
  • Willingness and desire to be part of a fast-moving, dynamic team.
  • Excellent numeracy and ability to construct complex costing sheets.
  • Able to work under pressure with drive, energy, and commitment.
  • Practical problem-solving and innovative approach to resolve business-related issues – pricing, delivery, lead time, etc.
  • Demonstrate and align with the values of the Company demonstrating honesty, integrity, customer service focus, quality focus, excellence, and innovation.
  • Ability to achieve a satisfactory result in a company medical, Drug and Alcohol (hair follicle) test, as well as an executive background check.
