Role Purpose
We’re looking for a commercially minded Product Manager to take ownership of a defined portfolio of products and drive their performance throughout the full product lifecycle.
This is a broad and influential role where you’ll turn category strategy into clear, actionable product plans. You’ll combine customer and market insight with commercial thinking to identify opportunities, optimise existing products and successfully bring new products to market.
Working cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain, you’ll help ensure our products are positioned effectively, meet the needs of our customers and deliver sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement and competitive differentiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned products, from introduction and growth through to rationalisation or withdrawal.
- Translate category strategy into clear product plans, priorities and product roadmaps.
- Develop a strong understanding of customers, applications, channels and routes to market, using insight to identify opportunities for product improvements, extensions and development.
- Monitor product performance across sales, revenue, margin and product mix, providing insight and recommendations to improve results.
- Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects, from defining product specifications and developing the business case through to launch and post-launch review.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure new products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required performance standards.
- Develop compelling product value propositions and work with Marketing to support product launches, campaigns and sales enablement.
- Partner closely with Sales teams, providing product expertise and helping to address performance gaps and support key customer opportunities.
- Support pricing activity and identify opportunities to improve product cost, availability and working capital.
- Maintain detailed product and technical knowledge, ensuring products meet relevant regulatory and certification requirements.
- Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of product data, documentation and communications across internal and external platforms.
- Build effective relationships across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, influencing stakeholders to deliver against agreed priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
