Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to support the development, maintenance, and day-to-day performance of our Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection (TicketPlan) insurance products. This is a hands-on role, working across product, compliance, pricing, and underwriting colleagues to keep our product propositions accurate, competitive, and compliant.

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support product initiatives and the continuous improvement of our product lines. This role offers the successful candidate broad exposure across our three core product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Maintenance
    • Support the development and maintenance of product roadmaps for Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection
    • Assist in delivering roadmap initiatives across the three product lines
    • Conduct market analysis to help identify opportunities for product improvements
    • Identify improvements to current product propositions and support their implementation
    • Support the end-to-end product lifecycle for each line, from concept to launch, under guidance from senior stakeholders

  • Policy Wording & Documentation

    • Draft, update, and maintain policy wordings, IPIDs/policy summaries, and related customer documentation across Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection
    • Ensure policy wordings remain accurate, up to date, and reflective of product and regulatory changes
    • Liaise with Compliance and Legal to ensure any wording changes are reviewed and signed off before implementation
    • Maintain version control and a clear audit trail of wording amendments over time
  • Product Governance

    • Support Compliance in the ongoing assessment of product value, suitability, and fair value to customers across Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection
    • Work with Product Underwriters, aggregators, and distribution partners to gather the data and insight needed for fair value assessments and target market reviews
    • Help ensure products continue to meet the needs of their identified target market, flagging any misalignment to Compliance
    • Support the periodic review and documentation of product governance outcomes in line with regulatory requirements
  • Product Optimisation & Performance Monitoring

    • Monitor and report on product performance across Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection
    • Identify performance issues and recommend adjustments to existing products, escalating to senior colleagues where appropriate
    • Support pricing and underwriting colleagues with data and insights as needed

  • Stakeholder & Partner Support

    • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for Partners, insurers, and aggregators on product related queries
    • Support the onboarding of new Partners, helping ensure a smooth integration
    • Support customer service teams with product insights and product training
    • Escalate more complex Partner issues to senior management where needed
  • Product Administration

    • Day to day management of product administration tasks across Gadget, Travel, and Ticket Protection
    • Respond to product related queries from internal stakeholders
    • Support the resolution of product issues as they arise, escalating where necessary

Experience we are looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience within the Insurance industry, ideally in a product, underwriting, or compliance-related role
  • A good understanding of the general insurance market, ideally including gadget, travel, and/or ticket protection products
  • Experience supporting product development and/or policy wording maintenance
  • An understanding of product lifecycle management

Skills

  • A self-motivated attitude, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Good communication skills, comfortable liaising across departments and with external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working on policy documentation
  • A data-driven and analytical mindset, and the ability to use data and insights to inform recommendations
  • A proactive, curious, and inquisitive mindset with a passion for making a tangible difference
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple product lines at once
  • Strong problem-solving skills, seeking practical solutions to overcome obstacles
