Product Manager (LegalTech)

Hours: 3 days / week
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote, UK
Rate: £450-500 / day (outside IR35)

Above and Beyond Recruitment are partnering with a purpose-driven organisation working at the intersection of law and climate action, helping organisations build climate commitments into their legal agreements.

They use digital tools and infrastructure to make that knowledge easier to access, apply, and integrate into organisations’ commercial relationships.

Purpose of the Role

The Product Manager will act as product owner for the development of a brand new AI-enabled, benchmarking tool for the legal sector.

The role will lead the product across its lifecycle, from discovery and definition through development, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration. Working with colleagues across user research, digital, and commercial functions, the Product Manager will bring together user, legal, market, and technical insight to ensure we solve the right problems, prioritise effectively, and build the right product at the right time.

The Product Manager will lead product definition, specification, and prioritisation and establish how product success will be measured. Ownership of software development and technical implementation will sit with the wider Digital team.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Own product discovery, working with the Principal User Researcher, Subject Matter Experts, Engineers, Partnerships & Business Development, and other colleagues to bring together user, legal, market, and technical insight to identify and prioritise the problems the product should solve.
  • Lead the definition and specification of the benchmarking product, translating evidence and specialist input into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, working with the Digital team to define and test hypotheses and determine what should be developed and when.
  • Work with the Director of Digital, Machine Learning Engineer, and wider Digital team to plan sprints, iterations, and releases, ensuring product documentation is maintained to a high standard.
  • Work across User Research, Subject Matter Experts, Engineering, Digital, and Partnerships & Business Development throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring relevant expertise and evidence inform product development and iteration.
  • Define measures of product success and monitor and evaluate product performance, bringing together user feedback, product data, adoption insight, and other evidence to inform future priorities.
  • Work with Partnerships & Business Development, Subject Matter Experts, and other colleagues to support product launch and adoption, and use market and usage feedback to inform ongoing development.
  • Support the measurement and reporting of product impact and growth, including reporting to funders, and contribute to a Build-Measure-Learn culture of continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
