THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a rare opportunity to join a product organisation at an inflection point. Lendscape is building a multi-year validated product roadmap and establishing the structures, practices and culture that define a product-led company. The Product Manager we hire will not be inheriting a finished playbook, they will help define it and will be able to influence how their team's capacity is built up and managed to support their product initiatives.

You will own a product area that sits at the intersection of complex financial workflows, regulation and enterprise customer need. You will work with your Engineering Manager, Engineers and domain experts to discover and deliver solutions that move Lendscape — and the market forward, while making transparent, evidence-based trade-offs in the backlog for a given capacity.

THE ROLE

Reporting to your Product Director, the Product Manager is an empowered, outcome-accountable individual contributor. This is not a project coordination role. You are expected to own the problem space for your product area, shape discovery work, make difficult prioritisation decisions, and take clear accountability for the results.

You will operate in a dual-track model: running continuous discovery in parallel with delivery, in close partnership with your Engineering Manager and Design Lead. You are not the voice of the customer, you are the voice of the market. You synthesise insight from our industries, customers, prospects, data, domain expertise and business strategy into a coherent, defensible product direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Own the problem space for your assigned product area across the receivables finance, open accounting and asset finance.
  • Conduct continuous customer and market discovery — (interviews, contextual enquiry, data analysis) to validate assumptions and surface unmet needs before committing to solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a validated opportunity backlog, distinguishing clearly between problems worth solving and those that are not.
  • Define clear, measurable outcome goals for each initiative and communicate them to the team and stakeholders.
  • Build a deep understanding of the regulatory, commercial and operational environment in which our customers operate (UK, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and other target markets).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Backlog & Capacity Management

  • Maintain a single, transparent backlog for your product area.
  • Apply strict, evidence-based ROI prioritisation to your backlog and be able to defend why items above the line earned their place.
  • Work with the Product Operations Manager to prioritise and sequence additional high integrity commitments.
  • Make trade-offs across demand types visible to your Product Director, Engineering Manager and stakeholders, including reasoning and where lower-priority work will not be delivered in a given cycle.

Product Delivery

  • Collaborate with your Engineering Manager and Engineers as your core delivery partnership, operating in short, iterative delivery cycles with a bias toward learning quickly.
  • Write clear, outcome-oriented user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting context, not feature specifications.
  • Make hard, transparent prioritisation decisions based on customer value, strategic fit, technical feasibility and commercial impact.
  • Take accountability for outcomes delivered, not just features shipped. Track whether solutions are working and iterate based on evidence.
  • Champion product quality, accessibility, performance and reliability as non-negotiable standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Commercial Awareness

  • Build trusted relationships with key customers (including enterprise clients in banking, specialist lending and secured finance) to fuel ongoing discovery.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Operations to ensure the roadmap is credibly communicated and commercially understood.
  • Participate in, and sometimes lead, customer-facing product discovery sessions, including with clients such as major banks and global finance providers.
  • Provide input into pricing, packaging and commercial model decisions that affect how your product area generates value for Lendscape.

Product Culture

  • Contribute to the development of Lendscape's product culture: outcome orientation, intellectual honesty, shared ownership of failure and success.
  • Participate in planning, roadmap and OKR processes, ensuring your product area's direction is coherent with the wider product strategy.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • A working command of modern product discovery and delivery practices: Jobs to Be Done, continuous discovery, dual-track agile, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Ability to synthesise complex customer, commercial and technical inputs into a clear product direction.
  • Strong analytical capability: comfortable working with product data, usage analytics, financial metrics and qualitative customer evidence.
  • Comfort operating within a capacity-constrained delivery model. Able to make and openly defend trade-offs across competing demand types rather than treating capacity as elastic.
  • Excellent communication skills. Able to write with precision and speak with authority to customers, engineers, and executives alike.
  • Experience working in or alongside complex financial services, enterprise software, or highly regulated B2B environments.
  • A genuine appetite for accountability: you want to own outcomes, not just contribute to them.

Highly Desirable

  • Domain knowledge in receivables finance (invoice discounting, invoice factoring, supply chain finance, asset-based lending), open accounting, or asset finance (equipment leasing, hire purchase, conditional sale).
  • Experience working in organisations transitioning from professional services or custom delivery to a scalable product model.
  • Familiarity with platform extensibility concepts: APIs, configurable business rules, event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with AI-enabled product features or a strong curiosity about the application of large language models in enterprise workflows.
  • Multi-jurisdictional experience spanning the UK and/or US financial services markets.

Benefits

  • £88,300 salary
  • Private medical care and cash plan
  • Flexible working hours

  • Cycle scheme
  • Learning and development
  • Wellness and mindfulness perks
  • Colleague volunteering
  • Life assurance
  • Work alongside a team developing and delivering innovative technology that creates huge value for a variety of local and international clients
