SFIA 5 Product Manager | Central Government | £450 p/d Inside IR35 | Newcastle Hybrid | Gov Experience Essential

We are looking for an Extremely Strong SFIA 5 Product Manager for a high-profile Central Government programme. This is a critical product role - you will own the product vision, backlog and roadmap in a complex, user-centred, GDS environment. We need someone who can hit the ground running.

Details:

  • Role: SFIA 5 Product Manager
  • Rate: £450 p/d Inside IR35
  • Duration: 05/10/2026 - 31/12/2026
  • Location: Newcastle - 1x per sprint (every 2 weeks) on-site, rest remote
  • Clearance: BPSS

What you must have:

  • Extremely strong Product Management background - this is not a junior role
  • Proven Central Government experience - ESSENTIAL - you must have worked in large-scale Government digital service
  • Strong GDS / DDaT experience - user needs, journey mapping, agile product lifecycle
  • Expert backlog management, prioritisation, roadmap planning and stakeholder management
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Designers, Devs, Delivery Managers, UCD)
  • Confident managing senior stakeholders and competing priorities in a complex policy area
  • SFIA 5 level autonomy - able to own product outcomes
