Product Manager

Consumer Mobile Products

Location: East London, Docklands area
Position Type: On-site
Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: £70,000–£100,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, plus equity options

About our client

Our client is an early-stage technology company building a consumer mobile platform that makes complex services easier to use. The team is looking for a hands-on Product Manager who can turn an ambitious product vision into a focused roadmap, deliver useful features and improve the customer experience.

The opportunity

You will own the mobile product from understanding customer problems and choosing priorities through to delivery and measuring results. Your initial focus will be developing an early product into a coherent, intuitive experience and establishing a practical release plan.

You will sit within the client’s commercial team and work closely with commercial leadership, growth and engineering. The role offers broad ownership, direct access to decision-makers and the opportunity to take on wider product leadership responsibilities as the business grows.

What you will own

  • Set and maintain the mobile product roadmap, prioritising opportunities using customer value, commercial impact, evidence, delivery effort and dependencies.
  • Turn the product vision and existing specifications into a realistic sequence of releases, with clear decisions about what to build now and what to defer.
  • Partner with growth and commercial colleagues to understand demand, validate customer problems and take promising experiments from an early version into production.
  • Define requirements, user journeys, acceptance criteria and success measures so engineers have the context and decisions they need.
  • Lead day-to-day product delivery with engineering: resolve ambiguity, make scope trade-offs, surface risks early and maintain a high bar for quality.
  • Shape simple mobile experiences and turn complex data or technical capabilities into useful, understandable features that earn customer trust.
  • Measure activation, engagement, retention and feature adoption alongside commercial outcomes. Use customer feedback and product data to improve what is live.
  • Communicate priorities, progress and blockers across the business, coordinate with distributed colleagues and help identify capability gaps as the team grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will own feature prioritisation and delivery within the agreed strategy. Major new product directions will be agreed with commercial leadership, while architecture and implementation decisions will be made in close partnership with engineering.

What you will bring

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience, with clear ownership of product decisions and a track record of shipping consumer mobile software.
  • Experience taking an app or significant product area from an early version through launch, iteration and growth, with specific examples of the outcomes you delivered.
  • Strong technical judgement: you can discuss APIs, data flows, integrations, architecture constraints and delivery trade-offs with engineers.
  • Commercial and analytical thinking, including the ability to connect customer problems to business value and define meaningful success measures.
  • Good product and user-experience judgement, with the ability to make complex services feel simple on a mobile screen.
  • Clear communication and the confidence to challenge assumptions, make decisions and create accountability while building productive working relationships.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage environment where priorities evolve and you need to move work forward without a detailed playbook.
  • Availability to work in person with the client’s London team.

Useful additional experience

  • Building consumer products in a fast-growing technology or financial-services company, or helping a startup product scale.
  • Products involving complex integrations, connected devices or data-driven customer experiences.
  • Working with AI or machine-learning teams to turn technical capabilities into clear customer value.
  • Working with distributed engineering teams and helping a small product function grow.

Evidence of what you have built and the judgement you bring matters more than a particular employer, degree or certification.

Your initial priorities

  • Understand the current product, customer evidence, available data and engineering capacity.
  • Agree a focused roadmap with clear release priorities, ownership and success measures.
  • Establish an effective delivery rhythm and take the first prioritised improvements into production.
  • Build a feedback loop connecting customer behaviour, market demand and product performance to the next decisions.

Working environment and package

This is an on-site London role in a small, ambitious team with high expectations for ownership and delivery. Start times are flexible; demanding delivery periods and launches can involve additional evening and weekend work. Working patterns and expectations will be discussed during recruitment.

The package includes £70,000–£100,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, plus equity options. You will have meaningful influence over the product and the opportunity to grow your responsibilities as the business develops.

Interview process

Interviews are expected to include conversations with the client’s growth team, commercial leadership and engineering team, plus a practical roadmap exercise. The format and timing will be confirmed in advance.
