Product Manager, Lighting Controls
Location: Espoo, Finland or Dartford, Kent (UK), with occasional international travel
About the company
Our client is a long-established, family-owned international lighting technology business with more than 100 years of history. They design intelligent, energy-efficient lighting control solutions for smart, sustainable buildings, combining wired, wireless and hybrid controls, environmental sensing and a cloud-based digital services platform. With offices across Europe, a partner network in 80+ countries and over 300,000 projects delivered, they are growing internationally and investing in their product portfolio.
The role
You will own the Lighting Controls product domain end to end, from discovery and strategy through roadmap, lifecycle and commercial performance. The portfolio covers controllers, sensors, panels, dimmers, relays and contactors, plus wired, wireless and hybrid control infrastructure. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will define which problems to solve and why, while Engineering leads how products are built. You will work closely with Offering, Sales, Presales, Marketing and future-technology teams to keep the portfolio competitive, coherent and easy to adopt.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
