About The Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager (Technical) to join our Architecture team for RTP International (VIL), a critical Mastercard program that facilitates real-time and bulk payment flows across six global economies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering resilient, secure, and scalable payment infrastructure. As part of this team, you will oversee the development and implementation of architectural strategies that support our multi-rail payment ecosystem, which handles an annual transactional volume of approximately 20 billion transactions. You will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, compliance, and innovation. Your expertise will help us expand our capabilities, modernize channels, and reinforce the infrastructure that powers critical financial transactions worldwide.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Extensive experience in payments infrastructure, financial services, or related technology domains
- Proven track record working in complex multi-stakeholder environments, including regulators and large clients
- Strong understanding of payment processing, settlement, liquidity management, and related business services
- Experience with architectural governance frameworks and compliance in regulated markets
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior executives and technical teams
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards and API-based communication channels
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop strategic solutions
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and modern software development practices
Responsibilities
- Articulate the resiliency features and capabilities of RTP products to clients and internal stakeholders, emphasizing their role in critical national infrastructure
- Define and implement strategies for adopting and modernizing payment channels, balancing legacy systems with API-based formats such as ISO 20022
- Leverage deep understanding of business services like payment processing, settlement, and liquidity management to inform technical solutions
- Collaborate with clients and regional teams to identify emerging needs, develop high-level propositions, and translate them into comprehensive solutions
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to share insights, best practices, and expertise across current and prospective markets
- Create and maintain long-term technology and architecture roadmaps aligned with client needs and strategic objectives
- Ensure architectural governance frameworks are embedded and adhered to, particularly for deployments involving Critical National Infrastructure
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure solutions meet all service delivery, audit, and control requirements
- Utilize key success metrics to drive operational efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction, providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in existing and new markets, engaging with clients to foster extended relationships
