Role Purpose
The Product Manager will own the lifecycle, governance and readiness of VICTVS' technology products, including digital assessment platforms, web and mobile applications, operational systems and client-facing solutions. The role will define product vision, priorities, requirements and acceptance criteria, working with DevOps, Operations, Implementation, Business Development and other teams to ensure products remain secure, commercially viable, operationally effective and aligned with VICTVS' strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Governance
- Define and maintain a clear product vision, multi-year roadmap and governance approach aligned with VICTVS' strategic objectives, client needs, candidate experience and operational priorities.
- Identify market opportunities, competitive positioning and innovation pathways relevant to assessment delivery and accreditation services.
- Evaluate and support the responsible integration of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies where they provide demonstrable operational, client or candidate benefit.
- Ensure VICTVS products provide a consistent, accessible and professional user experience across current and legacy products, including interface design, terminology, accessibility and visual identity.
- Maintain visibility of product risks, dependencies, technical debt and obsolescence, recommending investment, remediation, replacement, consolidation or retirement where appropriate.
Product Development and Roadmap Delivery
- Own the product lifecycle from discovery through development, launch, optimisation and retirement, ensuring requirements, priorities, user stories and acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
- Own and prioritise product backlogs based on user value, operational impact, security and compliance risk, strategic alignment and commercial value.
- Work with DevOps, delivery leads and operational teams to agree realistic delivery plans, dependencies, resource requirements, release schedules, communications and contingency arrangements around live assessment activity and client commitments.
- Ensure product development supports the integrity of high-stakes assessment delivery, including appropriate consideration of candidate identity, examination security, data protection, accessibility, auditability and operational resilience.

Integrations and Technical Governance
- Oversee client and third-party integrations by ensuring ownership, documentation, support arrangements, dependencies, data flows and information security requirements are clearly defined and maintained.
- Work with DevOps and other relevant teams to ensure products and integrations meet applicable security, data protection, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder and Client Engagement
- Engage internal stakeholders across Operations, Implementation, DevOps, Customer Services, Business Development, Marketing and senior leadership to understand needs, communicate priorities and prepare teams for product changes.
- Use client, candidate, internal user, support, incident and operational feedback to identify recurring issues and inform product priorities.
- Act as the primary product liaison for key external partners where required, particularly in relation to product requirements, integrations and planned changes.
Commercial and Performance Oversight
- Define commercial models, business cases and performance measures for new products, enhancements, replacements and investment decisions, ensuring measurable return and strategic value.

Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure acceptance criteria, validation, release readiness, documentation, training and support materials are completed and maintained for the relevant audiences.
- Use lessons from incidents, support requests, assessment delivery and client feedback to drive targeted improvements after release.
Person Specification
Essential
- Demonstrable product management experience in a technology-enabled organisation, including lifecycle, roadmap and backlog ownership for digital platforms, web or mobile applications, SaaS solutions or comparable products.
- Experience working with cross-functional technology, operational and commercial teams in structured delivery environments.
- Understanding of system integrations, APIs, security, availability, data protection and service continuity in business-critical products.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to use evidence and feedback to support product decisions.
- Commercial awareness, including experience contributing to business cases and evaluating product investment decisions.
Desirable
- Experience in assessment, education technology, accreditation, secure examination delivery or another regulated, high-integrity environment.
- Experience incorporating AI or other emerging technologies into product solutions.
- Experience managing products with third-party or client integrations, accessibility requirements, international markets or multi-territory delivery.
- Practical experience of Agile product development, iterative software delivery and tools such as Jira or comparable backlog and feature-tracking platforms.
