Description

We’re looking for a commercially aware and strategic Agri Product Manager to join our Agricultural Buying team. If you enjoy building strong supplier relationships, shaping category strategies, and driving performance, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.

You’ll be part of a friendly, inclusive team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role offers variety and the chance to work closely with suppliers, stores, and internal teams to ensure our customers have the products they need, when they need them.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday between 08:30 - 17:30

As an Agri Product Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of agricultural product categories, managing performance and supporting the delivery of our business plan. You’ll negotiate with suppliers, develop category strategies, and ensure competitive pricing and strong availability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing annual business plans for designated categories, including sales strategy and margin targets
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and negotiating terms
  • Monitoring category sales and ensuring availability and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinating sales campaigns with Marketing and Operations teams
  • Analysing product performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform decisions
  • Managing and coaching Product Management Assistants to support their development

About You

  • Farming or agricultural background
  • Proven track record in managing margins and P&L
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and adapts well under pressure
