Discovery, shaping and product leadership
Location: Remote, UK
Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £80,000
Fully remote, with travel to vet practices, conferences and team meetings in Southampton or London. Team meetings take place once a month.
About Digital Practice
At Digital Practice, we're transforming how veterinary practices connect with their clients, bringing messaging, automation, bookings, payments, pricing and AI together in one platform, deeply integrated with veterinary practice management systems.
Our ambition is to become the intelligent client engagement layer for veterinary practices globally, automating more of the routine work around every client and patient interaction so veterinary teams can focus on what they do best: caring for animals.
Launched in 2021, we have scaled rapidly to support over 1,200 veterinary clinics and grooming salons across seven countries.
Role summary
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join and lead our growing product team. The role sits at the critical point between product vision and product delivery, turning customer problems, market opportunities and business priorities into well-considered product solutions before they move into detailed definition and delivery.
Digital Practice has exceptionally close relationships with its customers and a strong founder-led product vision. Your role is to bring rigorous product craft around that insight: investigate problems, challenge assumptions, talk to customers, explore solutions, prototype ideas and determine the simplest valuable thing we could build.
We're also embracing AI both within our products and within the way we work. You'll be expected to use AI confidently as part of your own product practice, from research and analysis through to prototyping and experimentation, while helping us identify where AI can genuinely improve the experience for veterinary teams and pet owners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Lead product discovery across customer needs, commercial opportunities and internal ideas.
- Spend time with veterinary practices and internal teams understanding how people work today and where the real problems lie.
- Use quantitative product and customer data alongside qualitative research to understand behaviour, identify problems and spot opportunities.
- Distinguish between what customers ask for and what they actually need.
- Ask the difficult product questions: What problem are we solving? For whom? Why does it matter? Should we solve it? What is the smallest valuable thing we could build?
Shape great products
- Lead the exploration and shaping of potential solutions.
- Develop user flows, prototypes and concepts to test ideas before committing significant engineering resource.
- Work closely with the CEO, Product Owner, Engineering and Design to challenge and improve product concepts.
- Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to explore, test and communicate product ideas quickly before committing engineering resource.
- Identify opportunities where AI can meaningfully automate work or improve the customer experience, while being equally comfortable deciding when AI is not the right solution.
- Bring strong product and UX judgement, while being comfortable having ideas challenged and improved collaboratively.
- Keep solutions simple and coherent, resisting unnecessary complexity and scope growth.
- Help maintain coherence across the platform as we expand across communications, automation, bookings, payments, pricing and AI.
Recommend what we build
- Make evidence-based recommendations about what we should build, change or defer.
- Balance customer value, commercial opportunity, strategic importance, technical complexity and available resource.
- Define intended outcomes and measures of success for product initiatives.
- Lead alignment and demonstrations with senior stakeholders before significant development begins.
