Product Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
About the Role
As we continue our digital transformation journey through innovative and fast-moving initiatives, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate Product Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This role will have specific responsibility for apps across the full Mitchells & Butlers portfolio, alongside supporting key replatforming projects that will help modernise and strengthen our digital guest experience. It is a pivotal time for this value stream, with significant investment in data, loyalty and customer engagement capabilities, alongside the adoption of AI-driven solutions that will help increase guest engagement, improve personalisation, drive conversion and unlock new commercial opportunities across our brands.
In your role as Product Manager, you will own the vision and strategy for a key digital value stream, leading the definition and prioritisation of a feature roadmap that delivers against business goals and customer needs. You will work closely with technology, marketing, data, legal and product teams to ensure successful delivery of the roadmap and associated outcomes.

Requirements
- A relevant digital, management or technical degree.
- Product Manager accreditation (preferred).
- Hands-on Experience With Machine Learning And AI (preferred).
- Technical expertise relevant to product area.
- Track record of having managed digital transformation within a retail / e-commerce environment (multi-brand experience preferred) and experience of working within a cross-functional / collaborative environment.
- Experience of working as a product owner / product manager (an understanding of agile development principles and methodologies). Deep experience in writing detailed epics and user-stories.
- Experience leading and developing a cross functional team.
- Experience of dealing with ambiguity.
- Strong stakeholder management & presentation skills.
- Highly analytical, detail focused - with experience of test and learn methodologies.
- Takes a long term view and is able to articulate ideas into tangible artifacts understandable by the business as well as tech.
- A good understanding of GDPR.
- Understanding of core UX/UI principles and good customer journey design.
- Has an appreciation of technologies such as Customer Data Platform (CDP), Data Lake, Campaign Management, Recommendation Engine, Next Best Action.
- Good understanding of generative AI, including LLMs, AI assistants and agent-based systems, with the ability to apply these technologies to deliver business value.
- Practical knowledge of AI and Machine Learning principals; and how these can be used to improve business outcomes.
- Tooling experience with CDPs, campaign tools, Office 365 suite, AHA, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Dynatrace, GA4 and Figma.
