Product Manager - Bioinformatics

Oxford Nanopore Technologies aims to bring the widest benefits to society by enabling the analysis of anything, by anyone, anywhere. We have developed a new generation of nanopore-based sensing technology for faster, information-rich, accessible, and affordable molecular analysis. Our first application is DNA/RNA sequencing, and the technology is in development for the analysis of other types of molecules, including proteins. The technology is used to understand and characterise the biology of humans and diseases such as cancer, plants, animals, bacteria, viruses, and whole environments. With a thriving culture of ambition and strong innovation goals, Oxford Nanopore is a UK headquartered company with global operations and customers in more than 125 countries.

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager - Bioinformatics who is comfortable working in a scientific environment, with experience translating customer needs and technical opportunities into product strategy, priorities, and requirements.

In this role, you will join the bioinformatics product management team and focus on supporting the development of secondary analysis tools and workflows for human and cancer genomics. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders (engineering, research, and commercial teams) to define user needs and translate them into clear product requirements, working inside a formal product development process. Your contributions will be vital to the delivery of bioinformatics tools and workflows used across research and clinical settings, including applications in rare disease and oncology.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
