Our Technology team continues to go from strength to strength, playing a vital role in firm-wide innovation and strategy. Far from being a support function, Technology is integral to the firm's growth agenda, backed by strong leadership engagement and sustained investment.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Product, the Product Manager - Business of Law owns the strategy, roadmap and value realisation for firmwide business operations, productivity, service-management and workflow products. Based on the current portfolio, this includes Freshworks, Copilot, deReyAI, Board Intelligence and selected business workflow, collaboration and automation tools.
The role will manage the relevant Product Owner capability and partner across Business Services, Technology, AI & Innovation, Data, Engineering and Architecture. The focus is on simplifying how the firm operates, reducing manual work and duplication, improving service experience and ensuring new capabilities become supportable products rather than disconnected tools.
Duties And Responsibilities
Product strategy and roadmap
- Own the product vision and roadmap for firmwide business operations, productivity and workflow capabilities.
- Prioritise opportunities against measurable business outcomes, service improvement, adoption, cost, risk and strategic fit.
- Create a clear product landscape, rationalising overlap and defining when needs should be met through existing platforms, automation or new products.
Workflow and service improvement
- Lead discovery across business-service journeys and internal service management to identify friction, failure demand and automation opportunities.
- Partner with AI & Innovation and technical teams to scale proven capabilities into reliable, supported services.
- Improve end-to-end user experience across intake, fulfilment, communications and insight rather than optimising individual tools in isolation.

- Define measures for capacity, cycle time, quality, cost, adoption and user experience, avoiding usage-only measures.
- Ensure products have clear ownership, support, release, data, security and lifecycle arrangements.
- Manage key suppliers and commercial input, using evidence to support investment, renewal, consolidation or exit decisions.
Lead and develop
- Lead and coach Product Owner capability, establishing clear accountability for delivery and service health.
- Create an effective operating rhythm across discovery, delivery, BAU, vendor management and adoption.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Significant Product Manager experience owning business-critical platforms or digital products in a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Strong product craft across discovery, iterative delivery, adoption, value measurement and lifecycle management.
- Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to make trade-offs across competing priorities.
- Experience leading and developing Product Owners or comparable product and platform specialists.
- Confidence partnering with Engineering, Data, Architecture, Security and suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a pragmatic and accountable approach.
- Experience improving enterprise operations, employee productivity, service management or workflow platforms.
Desirable
- Experience in a law firm, professional services or another regulated environment.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, complex integrations and vendor ecosystems.
- Experience improving adoption, operational readiness and business processes through product-led change.
- Familiarity with Jira Product Discovery, Jira and evidence-based prioritisation.
- Experience with Freshworks, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform or comparable enterprise productivity and workflow products.
- Experience taking AI or automation capabilities from pilot into governed operational use.
