Transaction Banking Department

Transaction Banking department is responsible for the product ownership of Corporate and Financial institution client’s Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, Cash Management, E-banking product as well as Corporate client’s Account, Payment, Deposit, overdraft services. The role sits within EMEA Commodity Business Centre team which is responsible to support the production, processing, transportation and/or sale of commodities across the natural resources and agriculture sectors for the Bank’s existing (and new) international commodity-related clients.

As a Product Manager - Commodity & Structured Trade Finance, you will be delivering customised debt solutions to clients involved within the global physical commodities (Natural Resources and Agriculture) industries, structuring complex transactions and managing deals and relationships from start (origination) to finish (execution). This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored commodity finance debt solutions (Commodity Trade Finance and/or Structured Trade Finance plus associated cross products) for clients within the Natural Resource and Agriculture commodity industries
  • Prepare marketing decks, client pitches, business presentations and term sheets
  • Support origination of clients
  • Conduct necessary due diligence, research and analysis to support the on-boarding of clients/business
  • Prepare detailed business proposals, periodic reviews and ad-hoc updates as and when required
  • Support the negotiation and execution of legal documentation
  • Oversee all aspects of client, deal and transaction administration to ensure high client satisfaction
  • Portfolio manage the Commodity Business Centre asset book
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (across Credit, Compliance, Legal, Operations teams) and external relationships (with commodity brokers, insurance firms, legal firms, logistic firms)
  • Represent events organised by the Bank and on behalf of the Bank when required
  • Identify cross sell opportunities across the Bank
  • Be prepared to travel internationally, including emerging markets
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior members of the team and support to wider stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant subject
  • Demonstrated experience in the Natural Resources sector gained within the Financial Services such as Banking, Brokerage, Insurance, or Trading Companies
  • Demonstrated commodity debt product and/or commodity company credit skills or similar
  • Knowledge of commodity futures, exchanges and trading
  • Knowledge of STF products
  • Financial modelling knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sound business acumen with good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
