The Mission: Why We Exist
Genomics is a science-led transatlantic TechBio combining large-scale genetic and health data with proprietary analytics to accelerate drug discovery and advance predictive, preventative healthcare. We are united by a single vision to help people live longer, healthier lives, using the power of genomics.
Genomics aims to help people live longer, healthier lives in two ways: super-charging drug discovery and development for novel treatments with our AI-enabled advanced genetic analytics platform, and by helping people understand their personal risk of common chronic diseases through polygenic risk scores - giving doctors and health systems the chance to get the right people into the right prevention, screening and treatment programmes at the right time.
Role Purpose
As Product Manager for Data and Analytics on Mystra, you'll be the bridge between ambition and execution, turning approved strategic initiatives into clear, scoped, buildable epics and features that engineers can run with and scientists can trust.
You'll own the move from discovery to delivery. You'll set out the why and the what so that the delivery team start every piece of work with total clarity, and then stay close as the person they turn to when priorities collide. Because Mystra is a scientific data platform, "done" means more than shipped. It means scientifically valid, technically sound, and tested against the criteria that matter to expert users.
A Day in the Life
- Breaking down strategic initiatives into 2-4 well-scoped epics and features, with the reasoning behind every boundary written down
- Pulling together user workflows, personas, edge cases, and constraints into a living "context document" your delivery team can rely on throughout execution
- Working with Scientific SMEs to make sure requirements are scientifically sound, and with Data Services to understand ingestion capabilities and architectural constraints
- Partnering with Engineering, Design, and User Research to check that what you're asking for is feasible, coherent, and grounded in real customer need
- Running delivery kick-offs and bi-weekly check-ins, answering questions quickly, and making clear, well-reasoned prioritisation calls so the team keeps moving
- Spotting recurring ambiguities and feeding them back to the Director of Product Management, so the next initiative starts sharper

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
