As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.

As a Functional Product Manager within the Transport Business Unit

You are the technical and functional backbone of our product-led transformation. Your overarching mission is to champion a "Product-Driven" mindset.

In your specific capacity as the Data Product Manager, you will own the vision, backlog, and execution for all data-centric products. You will be responsible for turning raw transport business unit data into actionable insights. This includes feeding the overarching Arrive Group Data Lake, developing Business Intelligence (BI) SaaS offerings for public transit authorities (B2G), and exploring AI capabilities to drive quality and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Generic Responsibilities

  • Backlog & Roadmap Ownership: Translate high-level strategic visions (from the Head of Experience) into a prioritized, actionable product backlog. Ensure the backlog is always "Ready" for developers.
  • The "Standardization" Guardian: Strictly enforce the 70% Standard / 30% Specific ratio. Resist custom developments that create technical debt and champion reusable, scalable features to stop the "redo" cycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the decisive pivot between Engineering, Quality Assurance, UX/UI, and Business Analysts. Resolve conflicts and ensure the Squad reaches its Sprint goals.
  • Gap Analysis Validation: Work closely with Business Analysts and Market PMs to review client tenders. Define how to configure existing standard tools to meet client needs without rewriting core code.
  • Quality & Acceptance: Define clear "Definition of Done" criteria. Validate that the delivered software meets the functional goal before handing it over to the Delivery Managers for rollout.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Domain-Specific Responsibilities (Data Expertise)

  • Dashboard Building & Visualization: Define, design, and actively build intuitive data dashboards (using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or embedded BI solutions). You will create operational dashboards for internal monitoring and client-facing dashboards that translate complex transit data into actionable insights.
  • Data Lake Integration: Lead the integration of the BU Transport's data streams into the global Arrive Group Data Lake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance (GDPR).
  • BI & Analytics SaaS Offerings: Design and manage standard Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting tools to city and transit operators.
  • AI/ML Readiness: Monitor and evaluate practical AI use cases (e.g., predictive maintenance for hardware, anomaly detection) to be integrated into the roadmap, value-add features once the core BI and Data Lake foundations are fully established.
  • Data Governance & APIs: Define the data models and ensure our APIs allow seamless, secure data sharing across the Ticketing, Pay As You Go, and Digital pillars.

Your Role in the Organization

You will operate in a highly matrixed environment to ensure the Data product serves the entire ecosystem:

  • With the product team: You align your Data roadmap with the broader business model.
  • With Technology: You define the Functional Data Need (the "What" and "Why"), while relying on the Technology team to provide the underlying infrastructure and architecture (the "How").
  • With Market PMs & Sales: You gather feedback on local market data requirements (e.g., specific transit reporting standards in the UK vs. US) and abstract them into global, standard BI features.
  • With Delivery Managers: You package data releases and ensure that Ops and Support teams are trained on new BI tools or AI features before they hit the market.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Standardization Rate: Ratio of "Standard Data/BI" features deployed vs. custom reporting requests developed for specific clients.
  • Data Product ROI & Adoption: Profitability of the Data Offering and the adoption rate of these dashboards by our B2G clients.
  • Time-to-Market: Efficiency from the conception of a new data feature/AI model to its "Ready for Rollout" status.
  • Data Quality & Reliability: Uptime of data pipelines, accuracy of reporting, and successful integration metrics with the Group Data Lake.
