Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketer to join the UK & Ireland Oncology Business Unit, based in Holborn, London and reporting to the Associate Director, Sales & Marketing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping & executing the marketing plan for an antibody-drug conjugate across multiple metastatic breast cancer indications. This role is suited to a marketer with a track record of executing marketing plans, leading integrated omnichannel campaigns, and driving strong cross-functional working.


Specific Job Requirements

  • Lead the operational execution of the marketing plan, translating strategic priorities into impactful, measurable activities that deliver against brand objectives.
  • Lead the development and delivery of omnichannel and digital marketing campaigns and customer journeys within agreed timelines and budget.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of brand strategy through robust analysis of market dynamics, customer insights, competitive intelligence and business performance.
  • Use customer, market and performance insights to continuously optimise campaigns and identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and business impact.
  • Demonstrate excellence in project leadership, managing multiple priorities and agency partners to deliver high-quality execution on time and within budget.
  • Develop effective working relationships with expert oncologists and other key stakeholders to seek insights and develop advocacy within the UK & Ireland market.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Gilead policies and ABPI/IPHA Codes of Practice.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent within Life Sciences, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • Proven marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of executing brand strategies and leading day-to-day implementation of marketing plans.
  • Strong team player and collaborative approach.
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel and digital marketing principles, including experience designing and executing integrated customer engagement campaigns.
  • Experience managing complex projects, multiple priorities and external agency partners effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledge and experience of the UK and Ireland pharmaceutical markets is essential.
  • Oncology experience is desirable but not essential.

Location Change

We are pleased to share that Gilead’s Stockley Park and Holborn offices are planning to come together at a new London headquarters at 1 Triton Square, NW1, from approximately Q2 2027. Applicants should consider this planned location change when applying for this role.
