Job Description

This position is based in US, Germany, UK and Bulgaria with remote working options. Applicants must hold a valid work/residence permit for the respective location.

Role Overview

The Product Manager leads the product to commercial success by balancing the needs of customers, the competitive landscape, and innovation from R&D. The role defines and validates the core value proposition of the product, assesses its product-market-fit, derives key product features and ensures the overall workflow delivers an optimal experience for the target customer. As an expert user of the product, the Product Manager represents it to customers, press, and sales, demonstrating its capabilities and gathering insight to inform the product roadmap.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define business requirements and target customers, develop product roadmaps, and set priorities for each product release in close collaboration with Development, balancing product ambitions with internal resources and capabilities.
  • Work closely with existing and potential customers to gather insights into workflow improvements, validate new feature designs, and ensure the product continues to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Define new product features by working across internal teams to design capabilities that balance functionality, ease of use, and efficiency, validated against customer feedback.
  • Create and maintain product requirements documents, write feature specifications, and validate their technical feasibility with the Development team.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to conduct market analysis and develop go-to-market strategy for product releases.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis, staying current on alternative software solutions and their capabilities relative to the product.
  • Represent the product at online forums, public events, and customer visits, demonstrating capabilities and surfacing insights that inform the product roadmap.
  • Work closely with Product Specialists to ensure features are meeting customer needs and that product positioning is accurate and compelling.
  • Monitor the product’s financial performance, identify trends, and contribute to discussions on commercial performance and strategic direction.

Job Requirements

Required Experience

  • Solid experience working in the AEC industry, and/or in directing professional end-user software products, with a strong understanding of professional workflows in the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated fluency with BIM software like Autodesk Revit, or one of its primary competitors.
  • Strong understanding of concepts related to building construction documentation.
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 25% per quarter.

Required Skills

  • Translates customer insight and market data into clear product decisions: able to prioritize features and releases with commercial and user impact in mind.
  • Ability to represent the product credibly to customers, press, sales, and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira or equivalent CRM and ticketing systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office productivity tools, including advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Works effectively across cross-functional teams: Development, Marketing, Sales, and Product Specialists, aligning priorities and driving progress without direct authority.
  • Fluent in English.
