The Client

Pearse are excited to have partnered with one of the UK's leading private markets investment businesses, backed by a well-established banking group with deep specialist expertise. Operating within their Private Markets & Alternatives division, they have scaled to £1.2bn AUM since launch, with bold ambitions to grow to £10bn AUM.

As part of their continued investment in this rapidly growing platform, they are looking for a Product Manager to help build and scale their off-balance sheet funds and funding platform. This is a strategic growth area for the business, focused on developing capital-efficient investment solutions that leverage the firm's specialist expertise, client relationships and differentiated deal flow.

The Role

As Product Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Product and play a key role in shaping and developing the business. This is a broad and strategic role, spanning fund development and launch, building out a scalable funds operating platform, and collaboration with investment teams, lending desk heads, internal stakeholders and external partners including administrators, lawyers and placement agents.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
