With its core brands, Zumtobel, Thorn, and Tridonic, the Group offers its customers around the world a comprehensive portfolio of products and services.
Thorn Lighting are looking for a high-energy, analytically minded Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of a global indoor lighting portfolio category within the Thorn brand. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning data into direction, spotting market opportunities early, and driving measurable commercial results.
You won’t just manage products - you’ll run the product category for Downlights, Spotlights, and Bulkheads, shaping its strategy, performance, and evolution across global markets. Working at the heart of a matrix organization, you’ll influence decisions across Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Market Intelligence to deliver products that customers choose and competitors chase.

Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the commercial performance of a global product category - revenue, margin, and lifecycle profitability
- Continuously track portfolio health using data, insights, and market feedback
- Make clear, fact-based decisions on investment, prioritization, and complexity
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Translate insight into clear product category strategies and roadmaps (short, mid, long term)
- Develop strong, evidence-based product briefs and business cases
- Identify unmet customer needs and emerging opportunities
- Lead structured ideation and innovation initiatives
- Define compelling value propositions that balance differentiation, cost, and speed to market
- Partner closely with R&D and PMO to ensure on time, on cost delivery
- Actively manage trade-offs to keep momentum and achieve outcomes
- Challenge the status quo to improve how products are defined and delivered
- Define product positioning, pricing logic, and value communication
- Lead global product launches and support sales enablement
- Equip commercial teams with clarity, insight, and confidence
- Act as the central connector between Sales, Marketing, Development, and Applications
- Use data, structure, and clear storytelling to align stakeholders
- Advocate for change where it delivers better customer and business outcomes

Skills & Experience
- A data driven mindset - you’re comfortable making decisions backed by insight and evidence
- A background in Product Management with experience managing complex product portfolios in competitive B2B environments
- Strong commercial awareness with P&L or portfolio profitability exposure
- Knowledge and experience of working within the wholesaler and Specification channels would be an advantage
- The confidence to operate in ambiguity, set direction, and drive action
- Clear communicator who can influence across cultures, functions, and seniority levels
- Curious, ambitious, and motivated by real business impact—not just process
