About the role:

Execute product and purchasing strategy, manage key supplier relations and contracts, conduct product sourcing, and coordinate sales activities, in a country for defined strategic products.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with key manufacturers and have a working knowledge of the food ingredients industry.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain appropriate purchase and distribution agreements.
  • Contribute to the preparation, deliver, and monitoring of EBITDA sales and margin targets and budgets.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for a specified portfolio of products, customers, and industries.
  • Constantly review and assess the portfolio of products, customers, and suppliers.
  • Regularly report on plans and results, agree and ensure remedial action where required.
  • Provide logistical and marketing support and training to effectively launch/re-launch products.
  • Control selling prices to maintain and improve budgeted gross margin.
  • Ensure all products are purchased competitively.
  • Provide market intelligence to relevant staff on availability, price, stock levels, and market trends.
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of all company reports, policies, and procedures.
  • Awareness of market conditions and trends including competitor activity and market share relating to individual products.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holder's skills and ability.
