About the Role
Lead the product strategy and evolution of internal billing systems within a fast-growing AI and cloud infrastructure environment. You’ll own the tools, workflows, and automation that keep billing accurate, scalable, secure, and auditable. Working closely with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Sales, Support, and Partner Operations, you’ll translate complex business and compliance needs into effective product solutions. You’ll balance immediate operational challenges with long-term investments that strengthen billing integrity. The role offers significant ownership over automation, reconciliation, access controls, and operational performance. It’s an opportunity to build critical internal infrastructure while contributing to an ambitious technology environment shaping the future of AI.
Accountabilities
- Product Roadmap: Own the billing product roadmap and drive improvements across workflows, automation, controls, and operational processes.
- Roadmap Prioritization: Own and prioritize the roadmap for billing workflows, balancing risk, compliance, scalability, and immediate operational needs.
- Stakeholder Requirements: Translate complex enterprise and internal stakeholder requirements into a clear product vision and prioritized initiatives.
- Discovery: Conduct discovery with Finance, Support, Sales, Partner Operations, and external partners to identify billing lifecycle issues and failure modes.
- Automation: Validate and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work across quota management, billing account setup, reconciliation, and billing corrections.
- Regulatory Requirements: Translate regulatory requirements, including SOX and GDPR/DSR, into practical product controls and workflows.
- Documentation: Write concise PRDs, user stories, and requirements for internal billing consoles, APIs, and reconciliation pipelines.
- Access Control: Define and implement billing-specific RBAC and IAM models that support secure, least-privilege access.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and SRE teams on data pipelines, APIs, system reliability, and technical architecture.
- AI and Automation: Leverage AI and automation tools to reduce operational effort and minimize human error.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Align Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Partner Operations around compliant and auditable billing processes.
- Metrics and SLAs: Define and own OKRs and operational metrics covering billing health, reconciliation gaps, partner onboarding time, and manual task reduction. Establish operational SLAs and runbooks for billing incidents, supporting high system uptime and data integrity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
