Product Manager – Internal Tools & Operational Platforms

📍 London – 3 days per week
💰 Up to £75,000 + bonus and comprehensive benefits

I’m working with a well-funded, fast-growing infrastructure scale-up looking for a Product Manager to own the internal tools and operational platforms that will enable its next phase of growth.

The business is expanding from thousands to tens of thousands of physical assets. Its ability to grow efficiently will depend heavily on the quality of the software supporting its operational teams.

This isn’t a role focused on maintaining a backlog or simply taking requirements from stakeholders.

You’ll work directly with operational users to understand complex workflows, identify bottlenecks and turn business problems into scalable software products.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to join at a genuinely influential stage of the company’s growth.

You’ll own products that directly affect how quickly and efficiently the business can scale, giving you a clear connection between your product decisions and their operational and commercial impact.

You’ll also have:

  • Genuine ownership of the internal-tooling roadmap.
  • Direct access to operational users and senior stakeholders.
  • The opportunity to build new products rather than simply maintain mature ones.
  • Complex, meaningful problems involving physical infrastructure, software, data and operational workflows.
  • Scope to introduce AI and automation across the wider business.
  • A lean, cross-functional technology team where individual contributions are highly visible.
  • Long-term financial backing combined with the pace and autonomy of a scale-up.
  • The chance to help shape how Product Management operates as the technology function continues to mature.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What will you be working on?

Initial priorities will include:

  • Developing tools that streamline site assessment, approval and deployment workflows.
  • Building a portal that improves collaboration with external partners.
  • Creating a digital journey through which users can register demand for new locations.
  • Replacing manual processes and fragmented email communication with scalable workflows.
  • Improving data quality and using it to support better operational and commercial decisions.
  • Identifying opportunities for AI and automation across the wider business.

You’ll own the upstream product process: discovery, problem framing, solution exploration, prioritisation, requirements and success measures.

You’ll then work closely with engineering and other stakeholders to ensure the right solutions are delivered iteratively and produce meaningful results.

What are we looking for?

  • 4+ years’ experience in Product Management.
  • Experience owning internal tools, operational platforms or workflow products.
  • Strong discovery, prioritisation and roadmap-management skills.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams.
  • Evidence that your products produced measurable operational or commercial impact.
  • A data-led, outcomes-focused approach.
  • Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to challenge requests constructively and identify the underlying problem.
  • Comfort operating with pace, ownership and ambiguity in a scale-up environment.

Experience within EV, energy or infrastructure is not required. Strong product craft and evidence of building software that meaningfully improved a business are much more important.

Experience with AI, automation, field-service technology, portals, payments or complex operational workflows would be advantageous.

The role reports to the Head of Product and has no direct reports.

Benefits

Alongside a salary of up to £75,000, the package includes:

  • Annual performance-related bonus.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus UK bank holidays.
  • Option to purchase up to five additional days of annual leave each year.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Critical illness cover.
  • Dental, optical and travel insurance.
  • Income protection and life assurance.
  • Employer pension contributions matched up to 10%.
  • Company car benefit scheme.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support, including access to a leading mindfulness app.
  • Access to an online learning and professional-development platform.
  • 16 hours of paid volunteering time each year.
  • Discounts and offers with major consumer and telecommunications brands.
  • Access to selected hospitality and entertainment experiences in London and Leeds.
  • Enhanced parental-leave policies.
  • Flexible start and finish times around core collaboration hours.

The team works from its London office every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
