Your role

This Product Manager will oversee the lifecycle of semiconductor dry pumps used in light-duty applications, including load lock and transfer chambers, aiming to maximise returns for Edwards both financially and strategically by delivering customer-focused value. This position involves managing one or more SEMI dry pumps throughout their product lifespan—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Obsolete for Manufacture (OfM)—and leading transition plans to ensure consistent value. A key part of this role will also be to collaborate with the Future Platforms Product Manager to execute on the next generation load lock products.

Success in this role depends on close collaboration with Division teams, Regional Customer Centres, and Product Companies to align with organisational strategy and product support plans. Additionally, the position supports data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy of semiconductor light duty pumps (load lock, transfer and EUV), ensuring the product’s value propositions are realised in it’s target markets
  • Responsibility for the lifecycle management of the legacy semiconductor light duty dry pump portfolio, iXL/IPUP, EPX and EUV series
  • Collaborate with the Future Platforms Product Manager on next generation load lock and transfer pumps, translating customer and market insights into clear, prioritised product requirements
  • Maintain an outcome-driven product roadmap for allocated products
  • Collaborate with Divisional and Regional teams, including OEM account teams, to identify, evaluate, and materialise opportunities that support a sustainable and profitable growth plan
  • Collaborate with Product Company teams to prioritise and execute engineering projects (NPI, A&D and ETO), customer field trials
  • Maximise product profitability by identifying and evaluating product improvement opportunities through the Permit, Engineering Change and Copy Exact processes
  • Conduct research and analysis of competitor products
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal and external marketing materials, as well as product data in SAP through the CRF/MRF processes
  • Measure and report on product performance using data and customer feedback

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in physical, chemical sciences, or other equivalent engineering disciplines, demonstrating a minimum level 5 achievement at Higher Education, including HND and apprenticeship routes
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor, or equivalent technology, industry
  • Keen to develop a career path in business management or marketing roles with product management skills. Business training or education is desirable but not essential.
  • Pump or Integrated Systems experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work confidently and effectively with data and to present analysis results clearly.
  • Strong communication, networking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good organisational, time management and personal management skills - Self-reliance and ability to take initiative.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering organisation practices, disciplines, systems and software tools an advantage. Edwards Engineering Change and SAP knowledge would be a benefit.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential; Other language skills, including Chinese, Japanese, or Korean would be beneficial.

Job location

This role ideally needs to be based at our GTC site in the UK, on a hybrid basis, but we will also consider an alternative location either at our PCQD in China or PCCA in Korea. There will be the opportunity for international business travel to support global customers, Customer Centres and Product Companies.
