Product Manager

We are currently looking for a Product Manager to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Subsection for Data and Analytics.

As a Product Manager you will manage IT products that support one or more lines of business, including managing the demand process and consulting business colleagues to lead both tactical and strategic development. You’ll lead an agile team comprised of architects, business analysts, quality assurance and development resources, all focused on achieving the team’s goals. In this role, you will own and manage the product lifecycle including functional releases and IT upgrades, to maintain compliance, performance and ‘fit for purpose’ business functionality. You will be responsible for the secure and stable ‘run’ of the product as well as for the product costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT and client-facing colleagues to manage product roadmaps and backlogs for IT products, ensuring that the product team delivers capabilities on time, on budget and per expectation.
  • Manage delivery processes including requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
  • Partner with executive and subject matter expert colleagues to identify key capabilities and maintain Product lifecycle according to IT conformance process and guidelines.
  • Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization. Work across teams and global locations in a seamless way
  • Monitor and evaluate product compliance and performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement
  • Owns cross-project roadmap and pipeline for multiple Data and Analytics initiatives, aligning delivery with business priorities and capacity.
  • Manages high-level scoping, dependencies, and integration of functional and non-functional requirements into plans.
  • Acts as primary interface between business stakeholders, Data Office, and Data & Analytics teams; runs decision and sign-off trackers.
  • Ensures adherence to platform management approach, standards, and governance timetables.
  • Clarifies scope and outcomes, maintains backlog of epics/features, and embeds change control into the pipeline.
  • Leads high-level requirements and options analysis to support strategic decisions on data products and platform capabilities.
  • Facilitates workshops, working groups and steering forums; provides tailored status updates for execs, SMEs and delivery teams.
  • Produces reports and insights that support IT and data strategy management, including risks, benefits and value tracking.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
