Do you thrive on bringing new ideas to life, collaborating across teams, and delivering products that make a genuine difference to patients and healthcare professionals?
Join Optimum Medical, one of the UK's fastest-growing medical device companies, and play a key role in growing and developing our Urology and Ostomy portfolios across the UK and international markets.
About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will take ownership of our high-growth Urology and Ostomy product portfolios, leading the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive commercial success and improve patient outcomes.
You'll be responsible for managing the existing portfolio while helping shape our future pipeline, working closely with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory and Healthcare Professional Marketing teams to deliver innovative products from concept through to successful launch.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded product professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is primarily based at our Leeds Head Office, with flexible hybrid working available. Travel within the UK will be required to attend customer meetings, conferences and events, with occasional international travel as needed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and optimise the Urology and Ostomy product portfolios, including forecasting, pricing, profitability, packaging, positioning and portfolio rationalisation.
- Develop compelling value propositions and support the generation of clinical and health economic evidence to strengthen product adoption.
- Drive the new product development pipeline, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify market opportunities and future growth initiatives.
- Lead product launches from concept through to commercialisation, acting as the voice of the customer throughout the development process.
- Partner with R&D, Regulatory and Commercial teams to successfully bring new products to market in the UK and international territories.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Stoma Care Nurses, Urology Specialists and Continence Care Professionals to inform portfolio and product development decisions.
- Lead Post-Market Clinical Follow-Up (PMCF) activities, gathering real-world evidence to support product safety, performance and long-term value.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and healthcare landscape changes, including NHS and regulatory developments, to identify opportunities and risks.
- Generate market insights and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement and support strategic decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
