Employment Type

Specialist Engineering Portfolio
I am recruiting a Product Manager to take technical ownership of a specialist product portfolio within an established high-reliability engineering organisation.
About the Role
This is not a conventional commercial Product Manager position. Acting as the Product Authority, you will own product performance, capability and configuration throughout the complete operational lifecycle.
You will lead the transition of products from development into manufacture, support production and customer operations, manage engineering change and drive continuous product improvement.
Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Service, and Business Development, you will define the long-term technical roadmap and represent the product during customer engagements, bids, demonstrations, and trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical performance, capability, configuration and lifecycle management across the assigned product family.
- Develop the technical roadmap, balancing customer requirements, manufacturing capability, operational support, and commercial objectives.
- Lead development-to-manufacture transition, production readiness, and technical support for Manufacturing and suppliers.
- Resolve production and field failures, approve engineering changes, and manage product configuration, baselines, and obsolescence.
- Oversee verification, validation, qualification, factory and integration testing, and sea trials, while supporting customers, bids, and demonstrations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
