Product Manager
Fully remote within the UK or EU · Full time · £75,000–£80,000
Everyone has a product request. Everyone has a “quick fix.” And everyone is certain their issue should jump the queue.
The easy option is to become the switchboard: collect requests, relay tickets, attend meetings and slowly lose sight of whether anything is actually improving. This is not that job.
A fast-growing renewable-energy business needs a Product Manager who can turn growth into a more deliberate, evidence-led product organisation. Someone who can find the problem beneath the request, make the right product bet and prove whether it worked.
You will own product outcomes across the platform behind the network: lead generation, quoting and the tools that help regional installers sell and deliver solar, batteries, heat pumps, air conditioning and EV charging across the UK.
What you’ll do
- You will join a small, senior, low-ego team of engineers, a product designer, QA and a hands-on CTO—and become the product function.
- This is a role for someone who can create clarity without slowing things down.
- Turn stakeholder requests into well-defined problems, identify the patterns and push back when a proposed solution is not the right answer.
- Own product strategy, vision, roadmap and prioritisation across customer, franchise and business needs.
- Bring product bets of your own, informed by analytics, user research, competitor activity and commercial opportunity.
- Stay connected to franchise partners and customers without becoming the person who personally absorbs every update, request and operational loose end.
- Give engineers context and problem framing, helping them take greater product ownership rather than gatekeeping decisions.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll be a strong fit if…
- You are a senior Product Manager who can land on their feet in a growing, occasionally messy environment. You have enough experience to know which work product should own—and which work it should redirect, delegate or simply stop doing.
- You may come from SaaS, B2B2C, marketplaces, franchising, multi-site operations or another environment with competing stakeholder needs. You have originated ideas that shipped and moved a meaningful metric, rather than only managing a backlog well.
- You are comfortable with:
- Product analytics, experiments and post-launch measurement.
- Combining behavioural data with interviews, support feedback and user research.
- Writing clear specs and working day to day with agile engineering teams.
- Saying “no,” “not now” and “here is why” without souring relationships.
- Moving easily between strategy, discovery and hands-on delivery.

Energy or renewables experience is helpful, but not required. Curiosity, sound product judgement and the ability to learn a complex domain matter more.
The person matters
This is a close-knit, collaborative and low-ego team. They are looking for someone who brings calm, judgement and humour.
Franchise partners can be demanding and feedback is sometimes blunt. You need strong emotional intelligence: able to listen without becoming defensive, distinguish useful insight from noise and keep stakeholders aligned.
You will also work very closely with the engineering team. They care deeply about how product and engineering work together, so collaboration, humility and clear communication are essential.
Practicalities
- Salary: £75,000–£80,000, depending on experience.
- Location: Fully remote within the UK or EU.
- Travel: Around four trips to the UK HQ per year.
